New Sales Manager joins hotel group in Copenhagen
May 30th, 2022
Hotel operator Core Hospitality has hired Gritt Pitz as its new Sales Manger to represent its Copenhagen properties.
After nearly two years away from the travel industry, Gritt Pitz is ready to return as she has secured a new role as Sales Manager at Core Hospitality in Copenhagen, a third-party hotel management company. Gritt was previously a Key Account Manager with Cathay Pacific Airways for more than 14 years. Adding this experience to the commercial team is important to Core Hospitality as travel is making a strong comeback.
“We are very happy to welcome Gritt to our team in Copenhagen. She will be an important asset to our sales team as we scale back up our business and as we expand in Copenhagen next year,” says Smári Thorsteinsson, Commercial Director at Core Hospitality.
Focusing on Moxy Hotels
Core Hospitality currently operates two open hotels in Copenhagen: Moxy Copenhagen Sydhavnen and Best Western Plus Airport Hotel Copenhagen. Next year, the hotel group is set to open yet another two in the city: Fairfield Copenhagen Nordhavn and Residence Inn Copenhagen Nordhavn. Gritt will primarily focus her efforts on the newly opened Moxy property.
Moxy Hotels is Marriott International’s spirited lifestyle brand that strives to become as much a destination for locals as for travelers. The young and young-at-heart culture at the Moxy brand combined with the powerhouse Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program offers an experiential place for the modern company to house its next-gen travelers.
“I am overjoyed to be back in the travel industry. And I look forward to working together with the local Core Hospitality team and the global Marriott sales team. Moxy Copenhagen will be fun to sell with its playful design, thoughtful service crew, and focus on sustainability,” says Gritt Pitz, Sales Manager at Core Hospitality.
