Captain found for new Tromsø hotel

Moxy Tromsø has appointed its Captain: Jurate Poluniovaite. She has worked at all Moxy Hotels in Scandinavia and will now take the lead at the upcoming hotel in Tromsø, Norway.

When Moxy Tromsø opens in June 2023, it will be led by an experienced Fun Hunter. The operating company, Core Hospitality, has appointed Jurate Poluniovaite to be the Captain (General Manager) of Moxy Tromsø. Jurate’s experience with Moxy Hotels began in Oslo, where she was part of the Crew for over two years. She continued her journey as Crew Member at Moxy Copenhagen for another year, then supported the pre-opening process and management of the Moxy Bergen hotel for two years as Crew Leader (Front Office Manager). Now she is ready to take on her fourth Moxy hotel, this time taking the lead as Captain.

“Jurate is a fun hunting leader with big ambitions and a perfect match for the Moxy brand. We are truly lucky to have her on our team and I trust her to be a thoughtful Captain at our new hotel in Tromsø,” says Sanne Nørgaard Færgsted, Director of Operations at Core Hospitality, the management company behind Moxy Tromsø.

Before her time with the Moxy brand, Jurate was a Housekeeper and Assistant Floor Manager at the Comfort Hotel Xpress Oslo. Her diverse experience from all departments will help her secure the function of an all-round manager with an understanding of the entire operational infrastructure.

Expanding with Moxy Hotels

Moxy Hotels was developed for travelers that are looking for affordable accommodation without compromising on quality and style. The brand appeals to the young-at-heart by offering large social spaces, full of entertainment for stayover guests and local drop-ins.

Moxy Tromsø is the fourth Moxy location in Scandinavia, following Bergen, Oslo, and Copenhagen. The hotel will offer a unique location near Tromsø Airport with optimal viewing potential of Northern Light and Midnight Sun from the lounge areas on the 11^th floor. In addition to the open Moxy Hotels, Core Hospitality also plans on opening Moxy Aarhus in 2026. The hotel group’s internal talent pool is growing with every hotel, further improving its operational skills.
