Hotel Room in Esbjerg

Core Hospitality expands in Esbjerg with 97 new hotel rooms

November 6th, 2025

Esbjerg continues to evolve as one of Denmark’s most dynamic cities, and Core Hospitality is keeping pace with a significant expansion of its local hotel capacity. With 97 new rooms, A Place To Hotel now offers a total of 214 modern guest rooms, up from the previous 117.

The new rooms, which were formerly residential apartments, have been converted into fully serviced hotel accommodations that blend homelike comfort with contemporary design and functionality. Each room features the Heavenly Bed by Westin™, a 55-inch TV, upgraded lighting and blackout curtains, and a personal coffee machine.

Further enhancements are planned as part of an upcoming rebranding of the hotel, scheduled to take place during 2026.

Demand in Esbjerg is rising, and we’re seeing strong momentum across the city — driven by growth in both the business community and the energy sector. This expansion strengthens our position and allows us to provide even better facilities for both short-term and long-term stays,” says Helle Tingberg, General Manager at A Place To Hotel.

Tailored for extended stays

A Place To Hotel offers rooms in three sizes: 19 m², 46 m², and 65 m² — all designed as apartment-style units with a private kitchenette. Guests can also take advantage of a fully equipped communal kitchen, ideal for groups or large families.

Additional amenities include laundry facilities, a complimentary fitness center, private balconies, and free on-site parking. Features that make the hotel especially attractive to both business travelers and long-stay guests.

Many rooms offer panoramic views of the city and harbor, emphasizing the hotel’s prime location in the heart of Esbjerg’s growing development zone.

A major milestone for Core Hospitality

The expansion in Esbjerg marks an important milestone for Core Hospitality, as the company’s portfolio now exceeds 2,000 hotel rooms across Denmark (2,094 in total) — a clear testament to its ongoing growth and ambition.

This expansion is a prime example of our strategy to invest where growth and activity create new opportunities. We believe Esbjerg’s role as a hub for energy and business will continue to strengthen in the coming years — and we’re proud to support that development,” says Peter Haaber, CEO of Core Hospitality.
