Core Hospitality brings housekeeping in-house to elevate standards at A Place To Hotel
September 15th, 2025
Core Hospitality has taken a significant step to strengthen guest satisfaction and team culture at A Place To Hotel in Esbjerg by bringing housekeeping services in-house. The hotel now aligns with the group’s wider operating model, where cleaning is handled directly by dedicated hotel employees rather than external providers.
As a part of the transition, 14 new housekeeping colleagues have joined the team, becoming an integral part of the hotel’s daily operations.
The decision reflects Core Hospitality’s focus on both quality and workplace culture. Cleanliness remains the single most important factor in guest satisfaction, and by keeping responsibility in-house, the group ensures standards consistently meets guest expectations.
“We are truly excited to welcome our housekeeping team fully into the hotel. Running housekeeping ourselves means our employees are not just staff, but part of our culture. That creates stronger engagement, higher job satisfaction, and ultimately better results. Guests can feel the difference, because happy employees deliver outstanding experiences,” says Helle Tingberg, General Manager at A Place To Hotel in Esbjerg.
Core Hospitality views the move as a strategic milestone: “By insourcing housekeeping, we take full ownership of the guest experience. This not only enables us to guarantee higher quality and greater flexibility, but also strengthens cohesion across our hotels. It’s an initiative that creates value for guests, employees, and operations alike,” says Peter Haaber, CEO of Core Hospitality.
The group has already seen strong results from insourcing at other hotels, including improved guest perceptions of cleanliness, lower staff turnover, more efficient operations, and greater opportunities to roll out new initiatives – such as sustainability programs.
With this step, Core Hospitality reinforces its commitment to delivering consistent, high-quality standards across its growing hotel portfolio.
