New Sales Manager takes on Moxy Bergen
May 19th, 2022
Hotel operator Core Hospitality has promoted Crew Member to Sales Manager at its newly opened Moxy Bergen hotel.
It has been less than a year since Moxy Bergen opened on the waterfront of Bergen’s Solheimsviken area. An odd time to open a hotel. But Core Hospitality, the operator of Moxy Bergen, is optimistic about the future of the industry and wants to secure its share of the market when travelers return to the Gateway to the Fjords. The company has now internally promoted a Crew Member at the hotel, Juana Di Carlo, to take the lead on sales for the hotel. Juana has a strong background from the hospitality industry with more than 20 years of experience from companies such as Holiday Inn, Starwood Hotels & Resorts (now Marriott), and First Hotels.
“Juana is a real asset to our commercial team at Core Hospitality and will strongly benefit our activities in Bergen. Juana is a great match for Core and for the Moxy brand. She has the spirit to be a fun and inspiring Moxy sales rep. We believe Juana’s energy and positive attitude is perfect for our company,” says Smári Thorsteinsson, Commercial Director at Core Hospitality.
A perfect Moxy brand match
Moxy Hotels is Marriott International’s spirited lifestyle brand that strives to become as much a destination for locals as for travelers. The young and young-at-heart culture at the Moxy brand is a perfect match with Juana’s personality, which is spirited, thoughtful and fun.
“I love the Moxy brand. And the Moxy Bergen hotel is an easy product to sell with its fun design, thoughtful service crew, and focus on sustainability. I am very happy to join the commercial team at Core Hospitality and look forward to the new challenges at the hotel,” says Juana Di Carlo, Sales Manager at Moxy Bergen.
In addition to Moxy Bergen, Juana also represents Core Hospitality’s other properties, Moxy Copenhagen Sydhavnen and Best Western Plus Airport Hotel Copenhagen. Next year, the operator opens three new hotels: Moxy Tromsø, Fairfield Copenhagen Nordhavn, and Residence Inn Copenhagen Nordhavn.
