New GM hired at Best Western hotel in Copenhagen
February 2nd, 2023
Best Western Plus Airport Hotel Copenhagen has appointed its new General Manager: Pia Nielsen. As an experienced hotelier, Pia will bring an elevated focus on the hotel’s management performance.
Danish hotel group, Core Hospitality, is expanding its operational team with a new colleague. Pia Nielsen has taken on the role of General Manager at the group’s Best Western Plus property near Copenhagen Airport. Pia brings with her an extensive resume with 20+ years of experience from the hotel industry, including her most recent role as General Manager at the Park Inn by Radisson Copenhagen Airport.
“This new opportunity within the Core Hospitality group is very exciting for me. I get to take on leadership at a classic hotel with a lot of history. The hotel already has a great team, so I have a great foundation to manage daily activities while motivating them to improve certain aspects even more,” says Pia Nielsen, General Manager at Best Western Plus Airport Hotel Copenhagen.
Performance focus
The newly hired General Manager will solely focus her attention on the Best Western Plus hotel. Meanwhile, Sanne Nørgaard Færgsted, the previous General Manager of the hotel, has been promoted to Director of Operations at a group level to elevate overall operational performance.
“On our growth journey, we are balancing the need for groupwide efforts and focusing on the individual property’s continued performance. Pia Nielsen is a strong new addition to our operational team, and I am very pleased to have her take the lead at the Best Western Plus hotel. The past few years have been a roller coaster, but the hotel maintains its market share and has great potential in the future,” says Sanne Nørgaard Færgsted, Director of Operations at Core Hospitality.
