Renaming restaurant in Copenhagen

October 29th, 2019

Brasserie X has become Runway Restaurant & Bar in Copenhagen. The restaurant, which is located inside Best Western Plus near Copenhagen Airport, is changing its name due to the hotel’s recent rebranding. The new name also brings along a new menu, which offers lower prices and better options.

It was mainly the hotel’s rebranding that made it necessary for the restaurant to change its name, but Runway Restaurant & Bar has been changing for a while. The new Executive Chef, Pavo Kujundzic, has been working on the menu ever since he began in May. Today, guests can enjoy dishes of high quality at lower prices than before, offering an attractive value-for-money menu. As of July, the restaurant has even beaten its sales records each month, and having just started opening for lunch, the potential is bigger than ever.

We are not located in the city center of Copenhagen, so we have adjusted the prices on our menu. We can already see that our guests are, of course, appreciating this. By changing the prices, we also hope that we become more relevant to the locals, making us as much a destination for locals as much as we are for our hotel guests,” says Pavo Kujundzic, Executive Chef at Runway.

International and local

The restaurant in Copenhagen offers a selection of international dishes; classics that have been adapted to the local market. The international menu has been put together to satisfy demand from hotel guests from all around the world while remaining significant for locals. The new name, Runway, of course refers to the restaurant’s short distance from Copenhagen Airport.

The restaurant is located on a calm street in Kastrup, Copenhagen, where we are happy to be part of the local environment. Of course, we also have a lot of international guests, but we try and satisfy both groups. The restaurant has become more popular, so we are on the right path to finding our place in the market,” says Gitte Lindhardt, Restaurant Manager at Runway.

The hotel and restaurant are operated by Core Hospitality.
